Belly Dance Classes

We offer a range of dance classes across Melbourne that will help you improve your coordination and fitness with a taste of the exotic. Bellydance classes explore a great range of movements from across Arabia in a relaxed and friendly environment. Whether you just want a fun outlet or a serious hobby, we have a beginners to advanced Bellydance class for you in Fitzroy, North Fitzroy, Caulfield North and Forest Hill.

Bollywood, Bhangra and Classical Indian Fusion Dance Classes

Indian dance is very rich and colourful. We offer a range of classes from Bollywood (with the latest Indian pop tracks) to more folkloric Bhangra and Classical Indian fusion. For a light-hearted workout or a more technique based, traditional dance style, beginners and beyond are welcome at our Fitzroy studio.

Workshops and Hen’s Parties

We offer a great range of dance workshops for private groups in a school, corporate, festival or family setting. Underbelly’s founder still breaking new ground!

We’ve always known that Trisnasari was cutting edge. Now, she is also proving beyond a doubt that she remains a cut above the rest. This August, Trisnasari is preparing to compete in Australia’s national Belly dance competition, having been shortlisted to a small pool of just six contestants by a national panel.

We wish her well and we are all oozing with pride as the woman who started Underbelly and influenced hundreds – if not thousands – of dancers across the country enters the final stages of the competition in Sydney this month.

Trisnasari is also a Matron of the Organisation for Middle Eastern Dance, holds a formal qualification in dance teaching and continues to teach and perform across the country.
