About Bollywood danceWhen India fell in love with making movies in the last century, this was largely fuelled by the ability of cinema to capture the heart and sould of India’s rich dance traditions. Drama, colour, spectacle, glamour… it was all captured on the silver screen in the era known as Bollywood. Bollywood is now taking the world by storm and the pop personality of this energetic style of dance provides the perfect way to entertain at family, corporate and festival events. Bollywood is fun, interactive, a little cheesy yet highly contagious!Our DancersOur dance artists are fully trained professional entertainers with incredibly attractive presentation, plus classic style and skill. We take our art seriously, having trained with master teachers internationally and having performed internationally ourselves. Each of our dancers has a huge variety of costumes, made to dazzle your audience with sparkle and glamour and we take pride in our ability to deliver shows that inspire and delight.The Bollywood Floor ShowThe floorshow begins with a couple of dance performances that are fully choreogrpahed to attract the attention of your guests. The guests of honour and friends are then invited up to dance as well, with the Bollywood Dancer teaching a few moves to get everyone involved and really set the scene.- Performances are usually 15 minutes in duration; this can be increased/decreased on request.- A particular cultural style/repertoire may be focussed on upon request eg Classical, Modern Pop- We will bring CD or iPod (please advise which) or we can arrange live musicians to play authentic Indian music. We can also book Bollywood style DJ and shol drummers for your event.- Clients must provide a powerful sound system – portable CD players are not appropriate.- For group floorshows, a clear and clean floorspace of at least 3 x 3 metres is required.Contact us to enquire about booking a Bollywood dance act for your next event.
