Prue’s passion for dance began at her first ballet class at five years of age. Fourteen years later she discovered the ancient dance of the Middle East and was mesmerized by the feminine movements and exotic sounds. Over the past nine years, she has developed into a polished, sensuous and sometimes cheeky performer.
With a myriad of performances under her coin belt - including Melbourne Fringe Festival, restaurants, clubs, fashion shows and corporate events in Melbourne and interstate - Prue began exploring a new style, Belly Burlesque. With a pair of high heels, a 1950’s soundtrack and an “I know something you don’t know” smile, she soon found herself wooing crowds from the top of the grand piano in the historic, travelling cabaret tent, the Famous Spiegeltent.
Prue’s teaching style is technique focused and energetic, fusing old traditions with contemporary moves and music. She has a Diploma in Dance Teaching and Management and is working towards a certification in Clinical Pilates Instruction.
