About African dance
African dance is a dynamic and attention-grabbing style with large, graceful as well as booty-shaking, tribal movements, performed to tribal rhythms from across the continent of Africa. Often cheeky and highly energetic, you may even see some acrobatic stunts thrown in the mix in this high-impact style of dance to infectiously, funky music.
Our Dancers
Our dance artists are either home-grown, fully trained professional dancers and drummers or actual African artists who grew up surrounded my music and dance every day. With years of performance experience from large-scale events, to intimate parties and community festivals, they know how to capture an audience and inspire them to move!
The African Dance and Drum Show
Give your guests an unforgettable tribal experience with a live African dance and drum show. Incorporating a minimum of two drummers to get a full percussive sound, plus dancer, large ensembles can also be created for extra oomph! Perfect as a roving act at festivals, as a welcoming piece at events or as a dynamic, colourful and authentic tribal centre piece to an evening’s entertainment.
These shows also work well in combination with our Fire Artists.
- Performances usually last between 15-60 minutes in duration; this can be increased/decreased on request.
- Bookings can include just drummers, or a combination of drummers and dancers.
- For group floorshows, a clear and clean floorspace of at least 3 x 3 metres is required.
